A wide flood plain extending up the valley at the start of the Borrowdale Lake which, in autumn, is covered with tough grassland and trees dotted with small clumps of dry reeds turning a golden brown in the later summer.
This artist takes inspiration from the surrounding landscape whether it be countryside, a street scene or even a room interior. Whilst this may be the starting point for a painting, the finished pieces may appear more abstract at first glance. The artist’s use of contrasting colours provides vibrancy and balance within each composition.
The artist has exhibited widely including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Exhibition at The Mall Galleries.
