An original painting, acrylic and graphite on plyboard, 15cm high x 21cm wide. Framed (18cm x 24cm with frame). Signed by artist.
One of four studies of patterns and shapes of wild foliage growing in an unmanaged meadow, showing random colours and outlines of the growing matter on the ground.
This artist takes inspiration from the surrounding landscape whether it be countryside, a street scene or even a room interior. Whilst this may be the starting point for a painting, the finished pieces may appear more abstract at first glance. The artist’s use of contrasting colours provides vibrancy and balance within each composition.
The artist has exhibited widely including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Exhibition at The Mall Galleries.
