An original painting, oil on plyboard, 22cm high x 35cm wide. Framed (26cm x 33cm with frame). Signed by artist.
This was painted ‘en plein air’ at Cape Cornwall on a very misty morning. It shows a large rock outcrop on the boulder-strewn beach, with waves and mist swirling around the headland.
This artist takes inspiration from the surrounding landscape whether it be countryside, a street scene or even a room interior. Whilst this may be the starting point for a painting, the finished pieces may appear more abstract at first glance. The artist’s use of contrasting colours provides vibrancy and balance within each composition.
The artist has exhibited widely including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Exhibition at The Mall Galleries.
